Allison is a 2-time Olympian and 8-time Canadian Champion in the
sport of Alpine skiing. Her career now is as a Safe Sport expert,
advocate, and professional. Recently named one of Canada’s top 25
Women of Influence, she has started her own organization Generation
Safe, focusing on safe sport education for all Canadians.
Living through
her own sexual abuse in the sport system, Allison became an advocate
for change and has used her voice, skills, and passion to lead critical
changes in the Canadian sport system. Through education and
awareness, Allison aims to make sport a safe, positive place for athletes
and coaches of all levels, driven by her experience and her commitment
for a better future in sport for all.

Hailey Jones

An accomplished athlete, she has excelled in NCAA and CIS (USPORTS) basketball with the McMaster Marauders and further showcased her skills professionally across Europe. Her extensive athletic background is complemented by a strong academic foundation; Hailey holds a degree in Sports Management and a Master’s in Physical Education, specializing in sport psychology and community development.
Currently, Hailey serves as the Sport & Community Development Specialist with the Town of Aurora, where she has pioneered several impactful initiatives, including the Recreation & Healthy Active Living Leadership Course for high school girls and successfully secured the bid to host the IIHF Women’s Hockey Championship. Her role underscores her commitment to leveraging sports as a catalyst for community engagement and youth development.
In addition to her work in Aurora, Hailey is a Safe Sport consultant with Generation Safe and a gender equity consultant with the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA). Her consulting roles highlight her dedication to breaking barriers and fostering positive change within the sports sector. Hailey’s unique combination of athletic prowess, academic expertise, and leadership experience positions her as a visionary in advancing both sport and community development.
Jordan is a dynamic and accomplished sports professional with a rich background in soccer and a fervent commitment to safe sport and advocacy. As a former youth national team player and NCAA Division I athlete, Jordan honed her skills and gained invaluable experience on the field. Her passion for the game propelled her to the professional level, where she played in Europe.
Jordan’s dedication to sports extends beyond her playing career. She holds a Master’s in Coaching and Sports Education and a Professional Master’s in Sports Psychology, equipping her with the knowledge and expertise to promote safe sport and advocate for positive change through education and support. Jordan is deeply committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone involved in sports, championing initiatives that promote athlete welfare and integrity in the sporting community.

Specializes in: Youth culture development, Neurodivergence in sportJoseph Jones brings over 15 years of extensive experience in the sports world, excelling as an athlete, coach, and administrator. As a standout player for the Lakehead Thunderwolves, he earned an OUA championship in 2011 and secured a CIS (USPORTS) silver medal in 2013. His academic achievements are equally impressive; Joseph holds dual degrees in Sociology and Education from Lakehead University, where he also received the prestigious Hank Akervall Award for his exceptional contributions to academic excellence and community service.
In his coaching career, Joseph has made a significant impact at various levels, including AAU and university teams. Currently, he is dedicated to nurturing young talent through a grassroots basketball program. His commitment to fostering a positive and ethical sports environment is exemplified by his advocacy for Safe Sport. Recognized as a True Sport Champion by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES), Joseph has demonstrated exemplary leadership and a dedication to upholding integrity and inclusivity in coaching. His blend of athletic success, academic prowess, and commitment to ethical practices underscores his profound influence in the sports community.
Genevieve is a distinguished road cycling Olympian, fitness professional, and passionate advocate for Safe Sport. Representing Canada at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, she achieved remarkable success, including two junior World Championships and numerous World Cup victories. Her athletic career, however, was marred by personal challenges, including abuse by her coach and subsequent issues with performance-enhancing drugs.
Academically, Genevieve has pursued higher education in sports science and psychology, equipping her with a deep understanding of athlete well-being and performance dynamics. This background enhances her ability to address complex issues in sport and advocate for systemic change.
Transitioning from her competitive career, Genevieve has dedicated herself to Safe Sport advocacy, using her platform to address abuse, promote athlete welfare, and champion ethical practices within sports. As an engaging public speaker, she leverages her personal journey and extensive sports experience to inspire and educate stakeholders, policymakers, and athletes. Her life story, which was dramatized in the acclaimed film “La Petite Reine,” continues to resonate widely. Recently, Genevieve has returned to competitive racing, focusing on aligning performance with positive experiences and personal growth. Her multifaceted expertise and compelling narrative make her a powerful voice for transformation in the world of sports.

Michael Whitehead
Specializes in: Paralympic considerations and Culture DevelopmentBefore his spinal cord injury at 24, Mike Whitehead was a dedicated multi-sport athlete. He discovered wheelchair rugby during his rehabilitation and quickly excelled, making the national team just a year later. Over the years, Mike has represented Canada in six Paralympic Games, earning multiple medals, and has taken on a mentorship role, sharing his extensive knowledge and experiences with younger athletes.
Beyond his competitive success, Mike is deeply committed to advocating for safe sport practices. He is a member of the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) Athlete Council, where he contributes to shaping policies that enhance athlete welfare and promote inclusivity. Mike has embraced coaching roles, including leading Canada’s wheelchair rugby team at the Invictus Games, and has made an impact as a public speaker, presenting at events like TEDxBeaconStreet. Through these efforts, he promotes a culture of safety and inclusivity in sports, ensuring that all participants can compete in a positive environment.
